Kronoberg Konstskola together with Under Ekarna and Hofs Lifs presents a performance night with international artists Michele Di Menna & Max Brand.

December 9th, opening at 7pm at the Hofs Lifs Workshop. The event is free of charge.

Michele Di Menna’s multi-disciplinary art practice spans performance, sculpture, video, sound, installation and collage with an interest in the dialogue between time-based performance and static exhibition-making. Her works make use of morphological processes to propose artistic subjectivity as a continual struggle and form of resistance against easy categorization or normalization into a common-sense sociality. This unconventional approach to art making utilizes performance as its core element.

At Hof Lifs Michele Di Menna will present a performance featuring sculptural bells.

Di Menna studied art at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, Canada and at Städelschule in Frankfurt, Germany where she graduated in 2010. Her work has been presented internationally at galleries and institutions; Lars Friedrich (Berlin), Kunsthalle Wien (Vienna), Institute for Contemporary Arts (London), Istituto Svizzero (Rome), Marres Centre for Contemporary Culture (Maastricht), Andrea Rosen Gallery (New York), Museum Ludwig (Cologne), among others.

Max Brand is a Berlin based artist usually working in the medium of painting, and has exhibited extensively throughout Europe. At Hofs Lifs he will present 'Golderkimby's Melodica' a performance of new music along with his animations.

Max Brand is a painter born in Leipzig in 1982. He studied at the Städelschule Frankfurt and HfG Offenbach, and has exhibited extensively throughout Europe, most recently at Galerie Jacky Strenz in Frankfurt and Galerie Crèveceour, Paris.
